‘Through rational reflection and intuitive feeling, I have become aware
of the sheer fact of existence itself. To recognize that life simply is —
that I am alive, and that life exists — moves me deeply. This feeling of
wonder and love compels me to create, to give expression to something
that cannot be fully explained through thought alone.’
